Youth

Through the dedication of our volunteers and partners, students of Junior Achievement receive the benefit of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and workforce readiness education.  Junior Achievement of Central Ontario reaches students in grades 5 through 12 with programs that discuss important "real world" issues, helping students prepare for their future.

Graduates of JA report more confidence in succeeding with work-readiness objectives, such as personal money management, acing a job interview, and demonstrating a competitive advantage on the job.  Research shows that increased confidence in one's ability leads to sound decision-making, determination, action, and healthy risk-taking.  In fact,

• When asked if being a JA student positively affected their future, 92% of JA alumni responded with a resounding 'YES!'

• 84% of JA alumni indicate that JA enabled them to connect what they learned in the classroom to real life.

• 88% say that participating in JA helped prepare them for the work of work.

• JA grads have a 50% higher work confidence level and a nearly 20% higher interview confidence level than those who do not have the benefit of the JA experience.

Through JA's programming, students understand that there is no limit to their potential!
